To meet the challenges in healthcare today requires truly innovative approaches.   At the UPDDI, we embrace a new vision of drug discovery, an innovative vision to more effectively translate basic research to patient care.  Our greatest vision is to develop treatment options for patients suffering from metastatic breast cancer, liver diseases, and neurodegenerative diseases.

Through partnerships with leaders in academic and clinical research at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, as well as renowned scientists in academia around the globe, government agencies and corporations, we are continually advancing our knowledge and developing new approaches to diagnose and treat human disease. Our work spans drug discovery and development from basic research to phase I clinical trials.  While the UPDDI and collaborators generate funding from grants, foundations and corporate partnerships, the high cost of research is not fully covered.

If you share our vision of developing more effective approaches for healthcare and would like to donate to a specific program or disease area, please contact us to explore your wishes.

Thank you for your interest in our new vision of drug discovery.
