Pharmaceutical Industry Collaborations

The University of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) have formalized the commitment to developing strong collaborations with pharmaceutical companies with the creation of the Pharmaceutical Collaborations Committee.

This committee is comprised of senior leadership from both the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC and has organized the process of engaging industry and forming strategic partnerships. We have capabilities ranging from basic research through drug discovery and development into clinical trials in all therapeutic areas. In addition, through UPMC which is the largest US academic healthcare payer/provider, we are addressing the issues of payers and providers of health care. We look forward to working with the pharmaceutical industry to help solve the challenges facing this critical industry.

Thank you for your interest in collaborating with the University of Pittsburgh. We look forward to having the opportunity to showcase our vast array of technologies and capabilities to our Industry partners.
